Puskás Day — an important day in the international sports industry

The event, named after the Hungarian football legend Ferenc Puskás, was officially opened by Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade in the Hungarian pavilion at Dubai’s World Expo on the 16th of February. The initiative aimed to emphasize Hungary’s commitment to making the country a world-renowned center of sports excellence.

A result of a collaboration between the Puskás Foundation and FIFA, it was an important day for the sports industry for many reasons. One of the biggest news was the launch of an exclusive members’ club for the holders of the prestigious FIFA Puskás Award. The club has a dual mission: to honor the memory of legendary football player Ferenc Puskás and to fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
