FC Barcelona and Real Madrid fans to see themselves on live TV – thanks to Seyu’s solution
Another important football event: in collaboration with Hungarian broadcaster Spíler TV, Seyu’s solution allowed viewers to appear on television during the broadcasting of the El Clásico match.
Hungarian fans cheered together for Spain’s most popular teams
We’re happy to announce that we participated in one of the world’s most-watched sports events as fan engagement partners. The official Hungarian fan association of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, together with LaLiga and their broadcasting partner, Spíler TV organized an event for watching the legendary El Clásico match. The venue, along with a great atmosphere was provided by Stifler house, a popular sports and music club in the center of Budapest.
Yet again, Seyu provided a chance for fans to submit their selfies with personal messages in branded El Clásico frames to support their favorite players in an interactive way. The images appeared on the screen before the match, during the halftime break, and during the final evaluation of the official live broadcast. To involve and engage even more people, the activity was available not only to those who were present but to anyone using Seyu’s mobile application or web link. During the activity hundred of fan photos were submitted.
A first of a kind collaboration
Since El Clásico is broadcasted to around 650 million viewers across 185 countries — making it the most popular football match not only in Spain but in the whole world — this was a huge opportunity for the Seyu team, which will open doors to many of these events internationally. As Seyu’s solution is easily scalable, it can even work simultaneously in all of these countries, to activate millions of fans and further support LaLiga’s mission.
But it was a unique and innovative project for another reason: it was the first collaboration with a television broadcaster, which means that the images were displayed during the broadcast and the studio discussions on live TV. It was visible how much fans enjoyed this type of activity and how happy they were to see themselves appearing on TV, which further boosted their motivation to submit their photos.
This new partnership successfully engaged hundreds of people during the event. Seyu’s digital solution and promotional activities helped contribute to fulfilling the organizers’ mission: the personal interactions created a memorable experience for everyone, and as a result, helped strengthen the bond between the football fans, the teams, and participating partners.

Last El Clásico watch party in Budapest was a total success with more than 250 passionate fans attending the event. Fans were more excited to support their teams and show their color, so Seyu made this activation more engaging, by adding the digital aspect to the physical event.”
